Restored/Renewed | Jonah 2:3 & 6 | You hurled me into the deep, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me; all your waves and breakers swept over me. To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth’s bars closed behind me forever. But you, O LORD, my God, snatched me from the jaws of death!
What a gift it is to feel renewed. To find that just like a wave in the sea, you can experience a refreshing in life. Sometimes that looks like restoration through forgiveness, new chapters, resolved conflicts or fresh starts. As the wave sweeps over you, it is as though you have been created new — you find cause for joy and celebration. No longer drowning but renewed. This piece uses color and depth as an expression of that. The colors represent different feelings and emotions— self renewed and restored through the process of water and a wave.
