The Sea

I have always loved the sea. I love that it is always changing but always constant. It is always moving but always still in its place, massive and unknown, yet peaceful and calming; full of dichotomies. We know so much about it but yet also so little. It is a place to go to find perspective, to find rest but also excitement and adventures. I love that it is home to so many creatures and that it is full of life; its commanding mystery brings joy to so many. When my father passed, it was a place I could go to meet with God, a place to find perspective that the world was so much bigger than me. This painting was meant to capture the movement and dichotomies of the sea. To draw you into a world, a story that’s full of life, movement, creation and joy. Here you’ll find you, me and the sea.
